I am the evidence of hope. My very existence, my life, and my story are proof that hope is real and powerful. If someone needs proof that hope works—that you can come through pain, loss, or impossible odds—they can look at me. I have walked through valleys most would think impossible to survive: the shattering end of a 20-year marriage, the sting of self-deception and betrayal, the deep wounds of childhood molestation, the chains of drug abuse, and the unbearable weight of breaking my own children’s hearts and spirits. Yet, in the midst of what seemed like the darkest and most hopeless valley, God never left me. He was there when I cried out to Him, when there was no one else to turn to. “Evidence” is tangible proof you can see and touch, and “hope” is the belief that something good can happen even in the face of uncertainty or hardship. Together, they declare this truth: I have survived, healed, grown, and risen—not by my strength, but because God anchored me. That is how I became hope embodied. Now, I share my story so that others can see there is no such thing as impossible with God as your anchor.
